- Based in the UK, Dan Daw Creative Projects (DDCP) is a disabled-led company leading the way in creating accessible international touring work that blurs the lines between theatre, dance and activism.
- The company has presented work at British Dance Edition, Swedish Performing Arts Biennale, Sydney Festival and Rising Festival, Kampnagel and Sophiensaele, SoHo Playhouse and Sadler’s Wells and Battersea Arts Centre amongst others.
- From 2023-2025, the company was in residence at Kampnagel, Hamburg as Agents for Change, exploring what accessibility looks like across a venue, including programming, residencies, audience experience, capital development and human resources.
- DDCP’s work explores what it means for disabled bodies to occupy, and be unapologetic in, non-disabled spaces. Its mission is to use dance, theatre and activism to provoke change and reclaim space educate, inspire and advocate for those with similar lived experiences.
- Their new show EXXY, which plays in the Courtyard at the Playhouse from 22-23 October as part of Transform 25, is a new large scale work exploring the dissonance between Dan’s ambition to take up space and create the disabled-led work that is currently missing from large stages, and the self-doubt that has been imposed on him as a working-class, disabled artist.
