Leeds Playhouse and RJC Dance work in partnership to deliver this weekly theatre and performance programme for young people aged 9 – 12 years, living in the local and surrounding areas of Leeds.

The sessions take place on a Friday from 4:30pm – 6pm at the Mandela Centre, Chapeltown, Leeds LS7 3HY. Each session provides a quality drama and performance programme, developing theatre skills, knowledge and experience. Throughout the year, there will be up to two sharings of creative work. The sessions are delivered during term time only, with a break for half-term.

Participants of the Youth Theatre have the opportunity to acquire Arts Award accreditation to further grow their arts and leadership talents and to engage in Leeds Playhouse projects and shows (for example, Community Auditions and performance opportunities via Community Tours).
