Feeling Good theatre company celebrates the 400th anniversary of Leeds charter with comedy, melodrama, singing and dancing.

A group of resting actors, some of whom already know each other, are asked by a leading theatrical entrepreneur to meet in a Leeds hotel to write and produce a pantomime including several well-known characters to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Leeds charter.

The show starts with a series of sketches, which they have performed before in a “previous life”. These include comedy, melodrama, singing and dancing.

Then they all have great fun presenting a pantomime like no other; enjoying the challenge and demonstrating that they are “Feeling Good”!

This event is part of Open Season, the Playhouse’s annual festival of community creativity. The theme for 2026 is Happy Birthday, Leeds! commemorating the milestone 400th anniversary of our hometown receiving its royal charter and becoming a city.
