The Table is a new play by Aisha Zia, directed for Leeds Playhouse by Leeds-based community theatre company Mafwa Theatre.

Built from forty scenes inspired by four years of research with refugee, asylum seeker and migrant communities across the UK, each production of The Table is shaped by the company performing it, meaning no two versions are the same.

Gathering around a shared table, this moving and thought-provoking production explores belonging, identity, home and connection through stories shaped by the people who tell them.

Don’t miss this powerful new theatrical experience at Leeds Playhouse.
The tour is supported by Arts Council England and involves partners like Landmark Theatres, The Key Theatre, Metal Peterborough, The Green Backyard, ARC Stockton, Leeds Playhouse, and Strike A Light, Gloucester, working locally over two months.
