“Tribes keep us safe… at least they used to.”

A group of teenagers wake up in a forest with no clue how they got there. They find themselves separated into two different teams but have no idea what game they are expected to play. With no food, no water and seemingly no chance of escape, it’s only a matter of time before things start to get drastic. But whose side are people on and how far will they go to survive?

Our two Seniors 2 Youth Theatre groups join forces to present a play about human nature, the tribes we create and youth culture.

Flesh is written by Rob Drummond and directed by Angelica Clunes and Liam Gordon.

This event is part of Open Season, the Playhouse’s annual festival of community creativity. The theme for 2026 is Happy Birthday, Leeds! commemorating the milestone 400th anniversary of our hometown receiving its royal charter and becoming a city.
