Heydays Drama Ensemble presents an experimental and collaborative afternoon of entertainment.

A playful sharing of bits and pieces, odds and ends, and collected fragments from Leeds Playhouse’s Heydays group. Part cabaret, part creative showcase, the afternoon performance brings together scenes, improvisations and curated moments developed through collaboration and experimentation.

Working alongside Leeds Playhouse Associate Artistic Director Jamie Sophia Fletcher and special guests including puppet director and maker Kathleen Yore, theatre maker Alice Proctor, and emerging directors from the Playhouse’s Intro to Directing course, the Heydays Ensemble have been refining their performance skills and discovering new ways to create, collaborate and surprise.

This event is part of Open Season, the Playhouse’s annual festival of community creativity. The theme for 2026 is Happy Birthday, Leeds! commemorating the milestone 400th anniversary of our hometown receiving its royal charter and becoming a city.
