Leeds Playhouse has announced Evans Property Group as the official sponsor for the community tour of Makebeth, an inventive new family production by award-winning playwright Hannah Khalil, created with Cardboard Adventures and Shakespeare’s Globe, in partnership with Leeds Playhouse and Chichester Festival Theatre.
This joyful production will run in the Playhouse’s Bramall Rock Void as well as embarking on a Community Tour to neighbourhood venues across the city from 19 May to 5 June sponsored by Evans Property Group.
Makebeth offers a wildly creative twist on one of Shakespeare’s best-known plays, taking his tragedy and transforming it into a riotous, cardboard-built world of mischief, magic and make-believe. Packed with playful storytelling and hands-on theatricality, the show invites younger audiences and their families to experience Macbeth as they’ve never seen it before, with laughter, adventure and DIY stage magic.
Evans Property Group is a long-established Yorkshire-based company with a reputation for quality and integrity. With decades of experience shaping commercial and residential spaces across Leeds and the wider region, it is renowned for its commitment to long-term investment, community values and thoughtful regeneration. The Makebeth Community Tour signals the start of a committed partnership between Leeds Playhouse and Evans Property Group to support projects that encourage access for all.
