We’re hosting a practical two-day intensive to bring together early career Directors and Set & Costume Designers to explore the relationship between these two roles and the process of creating the design and concept for a piece of theatre...
…it’s also an opportunity for early career Designers and Directors to meet potential collaborators and peers from across the region!
The two days will be led by Director Amy Leach and Designer Hayley Grindle. Amy and Hayley are long-term collaborators, having created a number of productions at Leeds Playhouse including Animal Farm, Macbeth, Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet and Road. Find out more about Hayley here, and Amy here.
This intensive is for up to 10 early career Set & Costume Designers and 10 early career Directors.

To apply, you must be over 18 years of age and you must be locally rooted to West Yorkshire and the Leeds City Region. This is because Leeds Playhouse is committed to nurturing our local ecology, so even if you are happy to commute from further afield, you are not eligible to apply for this course.
